Take action for gender equality on International Day of the Girl.

Empowering girls is the key to ending poverty, but 130m girls are denied education, just for being a girl.

39k girls become child brides, every day.

Despite this, the Coalition Government has cut aid to a historic low, reducing our nation’s capacity to invest in women and girls. To create a fairer world for girls everywhere, the first step is to build public support and persuade the Labor opposition to commit to increase aid.

To do this, 100 Girl Power Ambassadors will organise an action in their community on International Day of the Girl (October 11), post a photo of their action on social media, and tag Shadow Foreign Minister Penny Wong to make sure Labor gets the message
